What This Service Covers
Sump pump installation and repair covers new pump installation in homes prone to basement or crawlspace water intrusion, as well as repairing existing pumps that have stopped working correctly or need component replacement. This includes the pump itself, the check valve, discharge line, and battery backup systems for households wanting protection during power outages.
Homes across Arnaudville, LA with basements or below-grade living spaces are especially reliant on a functioning sump pump during heavy rain events, since groundwater can rise quickly enough to overwhelm a space in a matter of hours once a pump fails.
Why a Failing Sump Pump Is a Serious Risk
A sump pump that fails during a storm does not give much warning. Water can rise from a manageable trickle to standing water covering a basement floor within hours, damaging flooring, stored belongings, and potentially electrical systems near the floor level. Pumps often fail at the worst possible time, during heavy, sustained rain when they are working hardest, which is exactly when a backup system or a well-maintained primary pump matters most.
How We Handle Installation and Repair
Assess your basin and drainage
We evaluate your sump pit size, drainage patterns, and existing setup to determine the right pump capacity.
Select the right pump
Based on your space and flood risk, we recommend an appropriately sized primary pump and discuss battery backup options.
Install or repair
New pumps are installed with proper check valves and discharge routing, or existing units are repaired with matched replacement parts.
Test under load
We run water into the basin to confirm the pump activates and discharges properly at the correct water level.
Backup system verification
If a battery backup is installed, we test it independently to confirm it activates during a simulated power loss.
What To Expect
Most repairs take 1 to 2 hours, while a new pump installation typically takes 2 to 4 hours depending on discharge line routing. We test the system under load before finishing so you can be confident it will perform when you actually need it, not just when things are dry and quiet.
